Pics

Hey guys,

I was looking at my blog page and I realized that I have WAAYYY too much writing, so this post is basically a heads-up that my next few posts are just going to be one of the below:
  • Quotes and pics
  • jokes
  • poems
  • random stuff etc.

Anyway, I've got another quote and picture for you all,

The Hunger Games is Everywhere!

Hey guys,

It's Hunger Game Season!! Although I'm not sure that I'm excited. I've been waiting for it to come out ever since last year and now I've just lost interest. This is just like Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 2. I was such a twilight fan, I wore a Team Jacob (Yes, I was team Jacob- deal wit it) T-shirt to watch Part one. This is what happens when directors, wait too long to release movies that belong to a series.

Enough about me, some of my friends wen't to watch it and they said that it was really good, but it was also (apparently) gruesome. And for those of you who don't know what the Hunger Games Catching Fire is about, here's the briefest, non spoiler-alert summary I could find:

Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark become targets of the Capitol, after their victory in the 74th Hunger Games sparks a rebellion in the Districts of Panem.

Anyway, I've got another quote and picture for you all,

CHINESE!

Hey guys,

To compensate for my super-long post, this is going to be a super-short post.

Okay, if you read my previous post, which was super-long (sorry), you should already know that today has been really lame. But things seem to be picking p, because my parents ordered in Chinese food. MMMmmmm. It tasted delicious, but It was soo hard to order. Why do Fast Food Restaurants make it so hard to order something without meat?

P.S. Yes, I am vegetarian, but it's because I don't like the taste of meat and chicken etc.

Anyway, I've got another quote and picture for you all,
Hmm...HMM...

If slaughterhouses had glass walls, everyone would be a vegetarian.

LONGEST DAY EVERRRR!!!

Hey guys,

I know I've said this before, but today was without a doubt the longest day of my life so far.
I was in a club meeting but I was in a rush to get home from school, so I grabbed (what I thought was my bag) and left. It took the bus ten minutes to arrive, then it took half an hour to take me home. On the bus, two stops away from my stop, I realize that I grabbed friends' bag.
When I got home, my mum sent me straight back out the door because school had contacted her to tell her that I had the wrong bag and the girl had left her bus pass in it. Who does that? Who leaves their pass in their bag? I don't.

Anywhoo, so I wait another ten minutes to catch the bus and ride it all the way back to school (twenty minutes) but this time, I had to get there before the school closed- S.T.R.E.S.S.
I literally ran to school in two minutes- that is really fast considering that it usually takes almost ten. When I get there, my friend is so relieved but angry so she lectures and yells at me for a while.

So back to the bus stop I go, but this time i'm with someone. The bus was taking more than ten minutes to come, so we walked a forty minute walk home. And the worst thing wasn't that it was FREAZING cold, or that I had no coat or gloves or even that it was really dark outside, the worst part was that throughout our walk, not one buss passed us. What's going on?! Today is F.R.I.D.A.Y!

Anyway, I've got another quote and picture for you all,
Hmm...HMM...

Doctor Who: 50TH Anniversary update

Hey guys,

Sorry this post is a-little late

I've changed my mind. I think Matt Smith is my favorite Doctor of all tome.

Oh, and did you watch, Doctor Who on Saturday? A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. I've got to say, I wan't even a Doctor Who Fan, I just watched it when there was nothing else on television, but now I've realized that Matt Smith was a good doctor, I'm going to go back and watch all of his seasons.

My favorite scene from Doctor Who 50th Birthday would have to be when all three (of in my opinion- the greatest) Doctors met up. What was yours? -wait, I have more than one favorite scene. The whole episode was awesome.

Anyway, I've got another quote and picture for you all,
Hmm...HMM...

The Doctor (Matt Smith): Oh yeah! Yeah, 'course. It's an inter-dimensional, multiform from outer space. They're all terrified of wood.

Autumn/Winter

Hey guys,

I H.A.T.E. Winter! But I have a Love Hate relationship with Autumn and I have many many examples why. Okay, last Monday morning, I was power-walking down the street because I was running late for school. Then I realized that the trees were all orange, and red and yellow, and amazing. I slowed down and looked up at the trees as I walked- when the wind decided to go crazy and smack me in the face with some leaves!!! I was soo annoyed, but now that I think about it, it was really funny.

Reasons to hate Winter:
  • Its COLD
  • It’s pitch black by 5:00. I like my sun, thank you
  • My closet is still full of Summer clothes
  • Getting a cold. Waking up every day with a stuffy nose sucks.
  • It isn’t cold enough to wear a puffy coat without looking like an idiot
  • It takes forever for my shower water to warm up
  • Getting out of the shower is brutal
Anyway, I've got another quote and picture for you all,
Hmm...HMM...

Winter is nature's way of saying, 'Up yours.'

Doctor Who 50th Anniversary!

Hey guys,

Let me start off by saying 'Congratulations!' to all actors who have had the pleasure of acting as The Doctor and congrats to their world-wide fan base.

I'm almost 100% sure that everyone knows that David Tennant is the main reason so many people watch Doctor Who today. He is by far my favorite Doctor but  Matt Smith wasn't that bad either. He wasn't that good though, I just kept on loosing focus when I watched him, so I gave up on watching the series. And now they are introducing a new Doctor tomorrow (personally, I think that the ratings are just going to drop when he arrives, but hey- he might just prove everyone wrong). Speaking of tomorrow- a brand New Doctor Who episode is being released, which is apparently going to star many of the previous Doctors, which I think is really cool, so you should totally check it out either online (if it shows) or on BBC One.

P.s. I may or may not do an update on this post, it depends if I remember.
And I have more than one photo to share with you- your welcome.

Anyway, I've got another quote and picture for you all,
Hmm...HMM...

The Doctor: Don't blink. Blink and you're dead. They are fast. Faster than you can believe. Don't turn your back. Don't look away. And don't blink. Good Luck.

when you don't get liked on facebook

Hey guys,

Social media, Facebook to be exact, has trained us to think that when a post or a picture and we don't get a like, it means that the post/picture was bad or boring. They're probably right. Your photos probably DO suck, but that's not why I am posting. To be honest I'm only posting this because I saw the picture, and I thought to myself 'That is it!' So, I am just writing gibberish. You may not stop reading this post, you WILL finish reading ALL of it.

P.s. I'm pretty sure that I typed the word Finnish instead of finish (I don't know)- my bad.

Anyway, I've got another quote and picture for you all,
Hmm...HMM...

I didn't know what Facebook was, and now that I do know what it is, I have to say, it sounds like a huge waste of time.

Family of Heros

Hey guys,

Yesterday my sister told me that she saved an old ladies' life. She said that she was walking down the street and she turned around- on the floor she saw an old lady, lying face down on the floor, in the middle of the street.
She says that she was really confused and looked around thinking 'how did this happen?' Then she ran to the woman, gently tried to pick her up and walked her slowly across the street to safety.

Anyway, I've got another quote and picture for you all,

Longest Day Ever/ Approached by guys

Hey guys,

Today, was one of the LONGEST days of school ever. Let me start this story from the beginning.

My art teacher told us that we had to have finished all of our work by today, so we could finish off our controlled assessment and she could take in our books. So I stayed up until four a.m. to complete my artist research, drawings etc. But today, she decided that she wanted to extend our deadline to Friday. I would usually be happy about this, but I was soo busy being angry to care. Then, as the day moved excruciatingly slowly by, I remembered that I had Netball club after school. It starts way later than usual (which is weird because it gets darker more quickly in autumn) because of meetings going on throughout the school.

Then the flibbin bus decided that it was the perfect day to take ten minutes to come. Whilst we (my friend) waited, a group of guys approached us. But don't worry, this story isn't going to end the same way the Mona Lisa one did because all they wanted to know was 'the time'. But I don't believe that because he kept on eyeing my friend. I think they wanted our phones, because they seemed too disappointed when both of us said that we didn't know the time.

Anyway, I've got another quote and picture for you all,
Hmm...HMM...

I saw the Accordion player with blue eyes again!

Hey guys,

Short post.

As you know, from my Bad Luck Charm post, I was out and about. But the weirdest thing happened- I saw the exact same accordion player that I saw when I was out with my friends (trying to find the tate). But this time he was riding a bike. It was really cool to see him again. I smiled but clearly he didn't remember who I was and just rode-on by.

Anyway, I've got another quote and picture for you all,

Good Luck Charm

Hey guys,

I have no idea what I was talking about in my last post. Bad luck charm my foot! I just remembered that I played in two Netball tournaments/matches this week. And my team won both of them. The first match, we beat the other team 10-4 (I think, but I can't remember- it was on Tuesday) and our team won another netball match on Wednesday but I can't remember the scores.

P.s. The internet sucks! There is a funny quote about (literally) every other sport, so why don't they have anything about netball?!

Anyway, I've got another quote and picture for you all,
Hmm...HMM...

If winning isn't everything, why do they keep score?

Bad Luck Charm

Hey guys,

This week I've been feeling like some sort of bad luck charm. It all started on Thursday, when I was on the bus (on my way home) and two stops away from where I had to get off, a car (not sure whether he was drunk or not) decided it was okay to drive into the side of the bus. Luckily No-one was injured and both the bus and the car was still intact.

Then today, I was out around town (L.O.S.T.) with my sister and we witnessed a road accident. A black car was driving- then very suddenly it stopped. This would have been alright, if there wasn't a cyclist right behind it.The cyclist smacked his head against the back of the cars windshield (breaking the glass) and bounced onto the ground. I don't know exactly what happened next because we were too busy trying to find a bus and escape the cold.

Finally, after we found our way back to a bus that we could take... we jumped onto it. A few stops later, we pass this building with firefighters and tape around it. I saw no smoke or anything so I'm just assuming that someone was stuck somewhere in the building- but that's just a thought.

Do you see my point? Or is it all just a coincidence?

Anyway, I've got another quote and picture for you all,
Hmm...HMM...

Chris Hemsworth: Thor Workout part

Hey guys,

I also got this from www.swide.com I hope the pictures distract you from the REALLY LONG POST.

Everyone loves a transformation; just think of all of those reality tv shows that are basically inviting people who feel like their looks are holding them back in fife and offering them a chance to have a makeover of varying degrees; there is wardrobe restyling, diet overhauls and, more extreme, plastic surgery celebrations.
Our fascination with the possibility to transform ourselves extends to celebrities, more specifically, those that grace the silver screen. Yes, we LOVE IT when a star’s looks changes for better or worse and it is these observations or stories that make up most of the gossip blogs and magazines.

Chris Hemsworth workout and diet plan for Thor
And that is where Chris Hemsworth comes in. The Australian beaut is back in the movie theatres as Thor in ‘Thor: The Dark World’ and that means we are all either ogling at his bulging biceps or wondering (jealously so) just how on earth he managed to bulk up so effectively… regarding the latter, that’s kind of where the extent of our wonderment and intrigue ends, we wish we could have that body but will do very little about it to achieve it.

What lazy buggers we are. If we really wanted to change our bodies in the same way as some of our favourite stars we have to realise that hard work and sweat is required.
So, want to know what exercises Chris Hemsworth did to get in shape for Thor? Well, on top of the bulking plan, that you’ll find below, he invested a lot of time in cardio based activities mainly boxing and Muay Thai. On top of that after the initial bulking stage of this training, he did total-body circuits around strongman moves.
Thor Workout part 1: eight-week bulking plan
How to do it:
▪   Week 1 Sets 4 Reps 4-6
▪   Week 2 Sets 4 Reps 6-8
▪   Week 3 Sets 4 Reps 8-12
▪   Week 4 Sets 4 Reps 4-6
▪   Repeat for weeks 5-8
Session one: chest and back
- Bench press
- Bent-over row
- Weighted pull-up
- Weighted dip
Session two: legs
- Squat
- Deadlift
- Hamstring curl
Session three: arms
- Weighted chin-up
- Close-grip bench press
Chris Hemsworth workout and diet plan for Thor
Then, he embarked on a 4-week fat-loss plan that also kept and continued to build muscle. It was based around these strongman moves as mentioned above and mainly used kettlebell weights to do so.
Here is an example of what he circuit looked like:
Circuit one: Tabata
(20sec on/10sec off):
- Double kettlebell squats – four rounds
- Eight rounds of snatches – eight rounds
Circuit two
- Kettlebell swings – 30sec two-hand, 30sec right-hand-only swings, 30sec left-hand-only swings, 30sec
alternate swings
- Cleans – 5 right, 5 left, 4 right, 4 left, 3 right, 3 left, 2 right, 2 left, 1 right, 1 left, then back up to 5 each side for a total of 60 reps with no rest
Circuit three
- Turkish get-ups – 5min continuous
- Windmill – 5 each side
Regarding diet, Hemsworth says that, ‘I basically overfeed on protein and endless amounts of chicken breast and steak and fish and vegetables and brown rice,’ and that for the second phase of his plan ‘‘I was eating a lot of clean protein, fruit, vegetables and some carbs, as well as drinking four to five litres of water a day.’
While the diet and how much you should be eating is something that you should tailor to your own needs, eat in a similar manner and train as hard as Hemsworth and you too can achieve a Norse God like body in no time.
