Short

Hey guys,

This is probably going to be my shortest post ever.
Did anyone else just experience a millisecond power-cut? Because according to my friends (who also just experienced it) it happened all across the city.

Anyway, I've got another quote and picture for you all,

A's and art

Hey guys,

I was nervous all week about the results i was going to get for my geography test, but it turns out that i was all stressed out for nothing. We got our results today- I got an A*! Great, right? Turns out that studying really does pay off (sometimes).
Speaking of school... today, in art, we were taken to an exhibition space in school (where they have recently added some artworks by students, from professional artists, as well as art from some children in a kakooma refugee camp). The theme of the exhibition is War.
Anyway, walking into the space i was met with an amazing surprise... my installation is the centre piece of the room.
So yeah, I'm trying to maintain my recent title of 'straight A' student. Wish me luck for the future.

Anyway, I've got another quote and picture for you all,

BORED

Hey guys,

The clocks have gone forward an hour, which means that our days are shorter? I really don't think it makes a difference. Either way, it doesn't change the fact that today my day has been very unproductive. I've been awake since 7am and all I've achieved is solving my Rubik's cube.
On the plus side, the weather has been really good recently. Its almost summer!

Anyway, I've got another quote and picture for you all,
Hmm...HMM..

Strike

Hey guys,

There's really nothing interesting going on in my life right now, except for the fact that for some strange reason, I decided to sleep super-early today (around 8:30) which has thrown my body off its schedule, now instead of sleeping around 2am, i woke up around 2am. God help anyone who sees me today if i'm cranky.
OH, and today is a student and teachers strike, which means that students don't have to go to school.

The thing is, usually i'd be really happy when we don't have to go to school, but when exams are in a few weeks, I need all the help I can get. As if i don't miss enough lessons as it is (going to the dentist, I'm not that much of a rebel)

Selfies

Hey guys,

I have recently discovered that I hate taking selfies. I hardly ever look good in them and now my cousin, as nice as she is, has decided to nominate me to take a no make-up selfie on facebook. The no make-up part isn't my problem because I don't wear make-up anyway (cue gasp, 15 year old that doesnt wear any make-up) it's the 'post picture up' that's the problem. So far I've taken 31 selfies and deleted them ALL. Wish me luck. 囧

Almost, but not quite

Hey guys,

Today, as I mentioned in my last post, we had this LionHeart challenge where we were randomly put into groups of ten. Then we were given the challenge to design a product that prevents fires from taking place within the home. If we won, we would go on to the semi-finals and then the finals. Our teem came up with a product that all of the judges and teachers liked and said that they would use, which was amazing because that meant that we had a really good chance of winning. The final thing we had to do was assign two people to present our product to the other groups. Going into the presentation, we were the favourites because we had the highest overall points for idea, teamwork, logo and finances. Yet we still didn't win because apparently the judges didn't think that the two people doing the presentation did that good of a job. Ohh well, in my head I still think that we won.

I have no life

Hey guys,

Yesterday, I only further proved that I have no life. Last week I found out that my art installation, inspired by Goya and the Chapman brothers, is going to be displayed in an exhibition in the schools' gallery. Which is amazing because I dedicated a month of my life to create it.
Anyway, I stayed after school with my friend Zoe to write out a short description of my work which only took ten mins but we left school around 5:05.
Bare in mind that school ends at 3:30. This means that Zoe and I stayed in school for an extra hour and a half taking a trip down memory lane, playing cake decoration games. Don't judge us. Besides, I like staying behind after school, it's times like this when school starts to get weird because teachers start to act like human beings.

Anyway, I've got another quote and picture for you all,

Friday

Okay, it's technically not Friday yet, but thank God it's Friday. Today we are going to be completely off timetable and you have no idea how happy I am. This week has been jam-packed with GCSE Science controlled assessments, so it's really nice to get a break before doing a maths and geography test next week.
Today (Thursday) we were put into groups of ten for tomorrow.
Apparently the teachers made sure that no one was grouped up with their friends, which sucks because I know for a fact that only half of my team is going to make an effort to do something.  We weren't told what we are going to do tomorrow but fingers crossed a miracle happens and all of the people in my group chose to fight against their reputation of laziness and actually do something helpful.

Anyway, I've got another quote and picture for you all,

Blog

Hey guys,

Do you notice anything new? I was bored of my previous Blogger page, so I decided to revamp it.
As you can see, I have changed everything including the color scheme, font sizes, font colors etc. I hope you like it, but now that I think about it, I'm not sure if I've made it too plain or not so tell me what you think.

Awkward moments #15

Calm before the storm

Hey guys,

I'll try and be as brief as possible.

So, on Saturday I went out with fourteen of my mates to celebrate both my and my, and my friends' fifteenth birthday. This year we decided to have a joined dinner outing, which  we've both agreed is the best thing to do because no-one wants to pay double the amount they have to, at Belgium restaurant in convent garden..

In the beginning, there was stress.
Thirteen of us met at school around 4:30 but two girls decided (last minute) that they were going to meet us at the venue, so I was like "okay, see you there". First mistake of the day. we arrived at Trafalgar square at 5:00 which meant that we had half an hour to get to the restaurant and be on time for our reservation. And they called to say that they were lost. Why ask to meet up somewhere if you don't know where the place is? How does that even make sense?
Twenty-five minutes later, after our multiple attempts to phone them and find out where they were, we made the decision to leave without them (you can't blame us, they knew that our reservation was at 5.30 ). Anywhoo, we had five minutes left so we sprinted to the restaurant (in dresses, heels and everything!) They finally found their way to the restaurant and boy was I mad. The thing that pissed me off was that they didn't even apologize for being 30mins late, they just walked on in and ordered.

Moving on. The perverts. Why are there perverts EVERYWHERE?
We had just finished eating our main, and my friend said "wow, I'm surprised this birthday is soo calm" I responded saying "the nights, not over yet, there is always drama, this is just the calm before the storm". She didn't believe me, but low and behold, six men walked into the restaurant and sat down at the table opposite us.

The tables there were lined up weirdly.
their table (H) and chairs were like this: | H |      and our table was like this:  ------------
                                                            | H |                                                HHHHHH
                                                                                                                  ------------
Instead of them sitting at the table like normal people, they all decided to squash up onto one side of the table, so they were all facing us. Who does that? We thought it was weird, but we just ignored it because we just thought that they were weird. In a way, we were kind of right. For the next ten minutes, the men were string at us and making really inappropriate comments like:

  • "Which one do you like?"
  • "There's 12 of them, so we get to have two each"
After fifteen more minutes (I think) of listening to their creepy conversation about us, my friend lost it. She went up to them and started shouting something along the lines of "Back off! we're fifteen, what the hell is wrong with you?" After she said this, she was shaking (with fright) because she thought that the men were going to stalk her after we left. They didn't do that, but they did bite back saying things along the lines of (I'm changing some of the words so keep things PG) "What the flip are you talking about? And if your all flipping fifteen then why don't you flipping act and dress your age?". I don't know what he was talking about, if someone was dressed like a __ (you can fill in the blank) I would have said something about it. Trust me.
At this point, everyone was freaked out and scared, so we gathered our things and began  to leave the restaurant.

On our way out, I heard three of the men saying
"They're going, quick! We have to divide and enter" I personally don't know what they meant by that, but I have a strong feeling that I really don't want to find out.
We roamed the streets for lord knows how long, but ended up in McDonald's buying McFlurry for dessert.

It's My BIRTHDAY I can do WhAt I wAnt!

Hey guys,

so today is the best day ever- My birthday. Officially just joined the crew of 15 year olds Whoop Whoop. It was great. All of my best friends got me cards and presents, which was awesome because they all know me soo well. Too well. The best thing about being the birthday girl is that you don't have to do a thing, no chores, no nothing. You get served and I have 99% full control of the remote control! Take that dad, I guess he wasn't able to watch Manchester City play (even though he is an Arsenal fan) ohhh well.
Anyway we've got a lot to catch up on. I'm going to have to start with last weekend. Not now, but Very Very soon. Be patient.

This Saturday I am going to have a joining birthday dinner with one of my closest friends. She is also turning the little (BIG) 1-5. So on Saturday look out for a group of 15 girls. Wait- dont. That would be slightly creepy don't you think?

I feel like I haven't blogged in ages, I'm waaayyy too busy for my own good (with controlled assessments and everything) annd I've also taken on a-lot more extra curricular activities, so don't expect me to post every day (not that you did anyway).

I've been out shopping for saturday so I might post a few photos of my outfit, I still need to buy my top though. I am wearing Head to Toe H&M.

Alright,Birthday presents. I received some money for my birthday which I have already spent on clothes and food (whoops?), a notebook from a friend, a snickers bar (which i almost devoured on the spot) anndd a Belgium chocolate cake, but I've still got to open some more presents up and some are still in the mail (apparently) so yeah. Things are looking pretty sweet. Especially since at the moment I'm stuffed with pizza and pasta.

Anyway, I've got another quote and picture for you all,
